Why is government so incapable of working?
Because the US House of Representatives is structuraly incapable of representing the people.
There are only 435 members, that means each member represents about 750,000 Americans.
But in the US Constitution, Article 1, the ratio of Americans to members of Congress is 1 : 30,000
That means the House of Representatives should have about 11,000 members.
While in the past, managing the aggregation of consensus of such a body seem impossible, today we have computers.
